Why is this a strange matchup? GSP has cleaned out WW and there is huge demand for him to move to Middle to challenge the champ. But many feel he should have at least one fight at the weight before he challenges the much bigger Silva.
Hendo has already lost to Anderson, but has won 3 straight, defeating Franklin along the way. He wants Anderson next.

It makes sense to me. This way we get 2 great middleweight fights. See how GSP's wrestling does against a bigger and former olympic wrestler.

if he was to move up then i think it would be a good idea to have a tune-up but not with the no.2 middleweight in the world, thats just running before you can walk.

do you know how much weight henderson sheds to make 185,im surprised he can even make the weight anymore?

    marqhuardt would be interesting.

Hendo fought Anderson already soooo... I don't see why he should get another shot. I understand that there really isn't anyone else out there but I think there are some japs, even from pride that anderson can fight. Just sone-one different. It's getting to the point were we are seeing a lot of rematches. perhaps the UFC needs to get more fighters under contract.

There are guys with belts from orgs you never heard of not making any money. Maybe if they got a UFC contract and some sponsers they could get a better camp and become a contender. Just a thought.

GSP should not really move up. Nothing is wrong with satying champ ala matt hughes. If her fights at a higher wiegh it should be silva. Thats the fight we want to see. If he loses to Hendo, a fight that not many care about, we will never see the anderson fight.

So If instead of these guys making huge jumps to another weigth class, we should have non-title super fights for the times there is no contender.

He trains with Marqhuardt. And yeah Hendo sheds to get there, but so does Anderson. Anderson is HUGE!

Henderson has won 3 straight over some the highest rated contenders in the division since losing to Silva. Henderson also won the first round to Silva, and lost after making a mistake to set up a submission. It is not like Henderson was thoroughly outclassed and asking for an immediate rematch. If anyone at 185 deserves a shot at Silva it is Henderson, even if it is his 2nd.

Ahhh....I don't know about that. Henderson is such a one trick pony on the feet, and GSP wouldn't make the same dumb mistake as Bisping by moving into the right hand. I think GSP could pull that one off with his kickboxing and movement.

It'd be really interesting though in the clinch and on the ground.

My point is we saw that right already. They can have a rematch before a superfight with GSP. If either GSP or Silva loses before they fight, the fight won't be such a big deal since they both seem unstoppable at this point.

Well, I'm curious if Hendo would want to try to take him down to gnp him, and if so what will GSP do about it. Will he try to wear Hendo out in the clinch the way he's done with other guys or will he concede that and just try to survive? After seeing how he dealt with guys like Kos and Hughes I'm not going to write off his chances with Hendo at his strengths. Obviously he can be better than everyone at everything, but he seems to have a pretty high ceiling in terms of grappling.

I would love to see a GSP/Silva fight, at a catchweight if need be. GSP is so dominant right now.

damn henderson will knock him out cold like he did to bisping. GSP is a great fighter but 185 will be too much for him. Henderson is a heavy handed fighter who can put gsp to sleep. I dont think he can outwrestle him either since henderson is the stronger of the two.

My suggestion is stay the **** out of the middleweight cuz henderson or silva would dominate gsp like gsp dominated lightweight champ bj penn.
