“I want it more than BJ because there is one thing; when I compete, I compete against myself. Last time I fought BJ, I went to decision. I want to finish him. I want to be known as the best fighter in the world and to do so, there’s this guy named BJ Penn and I need to beat him.”
When Penn was pressed on why he wanted the victory more, the UFC lightweight champion was direct and to the point.
“Legacy, all that different stuff, I just wanna kick his ass.”

This weekend is as good as MMA can get. I hope we don't have something bizarre happen to ruin it all like the Couture/Belfort rematch or Shamrock/Slice or Randleman and whomever he was supposed to fight (when he slipped backstage and knocked himself out before the fight).

For the record - St.Pierre is going to batter BJ Penn this time around.

From watching the Primetime series it does seem GSP is taking it more seriously then BJ, but thats not to say BJ isn't taking it seriously. Hopefully the fight lives up to the hype and we get a great fight. As much as I want GSP to stop BJ before the distance, its going to be really difficult. But you can never say never.

you do know that GSP beat him already right? i think it is also safe to say that GSP has grown more as a fighter than BJ since then. two great great fighters either way the winner should go to #2 P4P.

Thanks. I couldn't remember if it was Rizzo or not. I didn't watch that show live but remember hearing about it afterward.

If St. Pierre can finish Penn then he deserves a medal. I think only Hughes has did that to BJ before.

If GSP wins, i think it will be by points, if BJ wins, it could be by points, sub or KO.

Im leaning toward GSP on points but Im gonna predict Penn by sub/TKO in rd 5 (as I will be rooting for him) tho its basically a 50/50 fight, Penn being a bit more skilled & GSP being naturally bigger & more athletic.

The winner should be 2nd p4p to Fedor if they do it without contraversy IMO.
