I still don't think we'll see a repeat of the second fight, there is no way Hughes would even take the fight if his gameplan were to be the same....watch for continuous clinch and takedown attempts....he knows GSP has great takedown defense so he will have to keep trying rather then get picked appart like an everlast punching bag like he did last time. Not to mention he really can't evolve much because he is too stiff and bulky to throw fluint punches..his strengh is his wrestling and submissions....not to mention he's very strong and always in great shape....I'm sure he'll try to get his favorite side control if he could.
I'm wondering if GSP might initiate takedowns in the same way he did against Koschek. George's confidence in his ground game must be at all time high after that fight, and he's proven when he forces the fight to the ground he can be absolutely dominating.
yeah, that would be nice to see....beat Hughes at his own game...his only game...that would deflate his head a tad.
And thats exactly what he did. :yep World class training camp >>>>>>>>> Scrub camp in a basketball court
I just think that GSP is a better athlete/fighter all the way around. GSP could have trained with Hughes' camp for this fight, and Hughes could have trained in GSP style... and GSP would have still won. He is better than Hughes at everything, at this point in his career.
