He fought well against Bundrage, though, arguably deserved the nod (although with virtually all those Contender matches is was difficult to say for sure how accurate the scoring was or wasn't given how copiously edited they were for TV, aside from the live finals)

That was a million years ago, though. My old ass still wasn't old enough to rent a car.

Bazooka's going to blow him to smithereens.

Done respectably well (but never getting the W, going 0-2-1 overall) against three consecutive middleweight champs bridging eras over the course of several years (Sturm, Martínez, Golovkin) ...aaaand, bopping around putting on mediocre performances against mediocre competition since? :nusenuse:

Now, ordinarily you would think everybody in the "40 and up" club (Khomitsky, Ajamu, Tarver, Harris, Brown, and Hallback - three of those, mind you, at the doorstep of their fifties!!) would automatically be making the more ill-advised comebacks here, but many of the remainder incite a feeling of exponentially greater alarm when you look beneath the skin deep surface and remember that age is just a number.

Segura, even without any layoffs and without ballooning up & down in weight, probably would be getting to where people around him should be saying "bastante, amigo..." - primarily due to his brawling, eat-five-to-land-one style.

Vázquez & Murray were both in too many wars, and continued to be just competent enough to get dragged into prolonged battles with increasingly poor opposition as they declined, and they're both facing MASTER technicians who are likely going to land a majority of their counter punches flush on their already dinged-up brain-pans.

Satorn is, like I said, gagging for a vicious KO by chancing it once more with a puncher that he already squeaked by.

Wright is outmatched in size, power, and class; even if he was closer to prime and more active he would be getting DESTROYED here. Ditto for Seferi.

Welliver is going to have a massive coronary infarction right in the middle of the ring if he keeps rolling himself in there in excess of 300lbs and overexerting himself.

Pascal is something of a question mark; if he's able to replicate his Elbiali form and Bosse turns out to be a poor convert to boxing, then no harm no foul - but if Pascal's reflexes have continued to corrode, and Bosse ends up being semi-dangerous...this could be tragic. (and not just for the money-men in Montreal rumored to be eyeing a Stevenson vs. Pascal match to cash out both men and trade on their erstwhile popularity)

Shumenov had to ****ING RETIRE DUE TO AN EYE INJURY. This is as distressing as when Mikkel Kessler was mulling over a comeback, or when Israel Vázquez signed for a fourth match with Rafael Márquez.

Butler, Webster, Shkarupa, and Della Rossa are of least concern and in the case of Webster, he's young enough and has remained active enough that you probably can't even call it a "comeback"...although he did very clearly peak and was shown to be lacking at that peak, against Magomedov. He might be the one guy that doesn't belong in the OP list.

Zero, just smokers (gym-wars/exhibitions), nothing AIBA or USAB sanctioned.

Exactly. Don't get me wrong, he beat Sturm and that fight with Martinez was razor close but that was way too long ago. At this point of his career, I just want him to go away. I doubt Saunders even wants to fight him, but Warren is just milking that UK crowd.

I wouldn't recommend turning pro, simply because of your experience level and age... Just spar and keep in shape, and enjoy the sport.

Vivian Harris is bad. He came up around the same time as Vernon Forrest and is a TBI waiting to happen. He gets my vote.

Tarver is crafty and has been in the gym training mma fighters so he'll be okay, just unremarkable.

Segura is a Calderon era flyweight. He has no business ar 126.

Don't think anybody who watched Murray v Roasdo thought Murray winning was a gift, the controversy was one of the judges had it 11-1 when it was an 8-4/7-5 kind of fight.

He don't belong in among the rest of those hasbeens

@CST80 had it 116-112 Rosado and wasn't the only person I've seen express the feeling that he ought to have gotten the nod.

It's tough to make it that far at 35; however if IB is determined - he has all my best wishes for sure.

However the logical side of me has to agree with drenlou. I wonder if you've considered becoming a trainer instead, IB? With your superlative knowledge of all facets of the sport and your ability to express yourself clearly I think you'd make both a top, top trainer and/or advisor.

The ajamu Jones fight was hilarious. A shot legless Roy trolled ajamu so hard that Ajamu repeatedly tried to get himself disqualified by hitting Roy right in the Jewels.
