Any decent boxing fan worth his salt enjoys the skillful finesse of certain match-ups in boxing, but what are the guaranteed barnburner match-ups in world boxing that "could" be made today.

    Here's a few I thought off:

Roman Gonzalez v Giovani Segura (Roman is a big Minimumweight; I'm sure he could move up a couple of pounds for this WAR)

Vic Darchinyian v Hugo Cazares (It would be entertaining while it lasts. Cazares is on a nice run at the moment - could turn out to be a complete mismatch though; I think the styles would blend well).

Israel Marquez v Rafael Marquez IV (need I say anymore)

Roman Martinez v Humberto Soto (Puerto Rico v Mexico :hey; if thats not competitive enough then throw fellow Guzman-victim Barrios in with Soto instead).

Edwin Valero v Michael Katsidis (I like this one)

Marcos Maidana v Ricky Hatton (Is Ricky shot? Lets find out)

Anyway I don't wanna steal all the limelight; I'll leave the higher weights for someone else.

So give me your entertainment-guaranteed fights that "could" be made.

Nah it's not that. It's just that most of the fights you mentioned are not really the first thing that comes to mind when you think "barnburner". Not that they can't be.

I'm not going to say they're not good/great fights in the making, but yes, as Babality says they're not the first match-ups that spring to mind as potential barnburners..............well, Pac-Cotto could be (here's hoping).:good

Don't think Cotto vs Pac will be a barnburner.......... I don't know what to say then......... actually a couple of these fights should defo be barnburners while all of them have a huge potential 4 it!

I just want to see what happens when Rick again decides to rush in on a murderous puncher because he feels he is the bigger stronger guy!!!!!

    I hear that.

If Hatton is shot, as so many believe, then he is just meat to the Valero-grinder. If not, then this could be a very interesting fight.
