    L-sits for a living?

Saying it like that doesnt change the fact that having a strong core is obviously beneficial for a boxer.

Eating the right foods helps you control weigh not doing half marathons.
Aid focus? How about meditation? Shadow boxing? Visualization?
An occasional recovery run is good but doing roadwork every single day is moronic.

Yeah, you're right. Being fitter, stronger and agile wont help his boxing at all.

Its liek Cottos new S+C coach said. Many boxers are years behind other sports when it comes to conditioning training.

    Oh dear.
    Know any fat marathon runners?
Like so may things in boxing, and life, many factors combine to achieve the desired result. Proper diet CONTRIBUTES to making weight, certainly. Meditation might work for some boxers, not me but maybe everyone else. Shadow boxing might help some boxers to focus, same with visualisation.
Boxers don't run every single day. Roadwork is one component of training to achieve the result of a fighter prepared to compete. Boxers don't sprint around the ring either, but every boxer I know uses sprints as part of their preparation for a contest.

Crossfit is for people with herd mentality who weren't good in any sport as a kid.

Thats because they don't utilise enough of the many many other components that go into preparing for a boxing match petal.

I'm not sold on Crossfit personally, but it it works for Guerrero then why not?
Everyone is different and it may be that he just needs something different to shake things up and reinvigorate his training.

Nope..think I did one class about 3 years ago.

Doesnt take away from my main point about many boxers being stuck with trainers from the dark ages, like Cottos trainer said.

Roadwork if we are speaking about roadwork most moronic boxers do is almost every day.
Please explain to me what is the benefit of it?
Let me give you a clue. Its pointless.
Im not talking here highly of crossfit cause i think its ok in some areas and in some not.
Boxers do sprints in a series because it mimics fighting bursts. I dont know any boxer who went in there and did a slow pace fight.

I would love to see this "pro" crossfitters hit the focus mitts for 1 round, bet they would tire out after 2 mins tops.
