I wish Mosley would've retired after Margo... Dude would've been remembered well, instead of being a gatekeeper/stepping stone.
Robert just talking himself into fights cause his name got thrown around in a rumor. This guy is getting annoyiny
That's all well and good, but Mosley is shot a hell. A fight against someone like Brad Solomon or even Jan Zavexk would go much further to prove he's worthy.
Well, after suffering an embarrassing shutout loss where he had to fight differently than he's ever fought in his life it wouldn't be much proof of anything for Guerrero to beat Shane. That said, if he can get this fight, I'll be happy for him. I mean, hey, this is a business, Mosley is going to get himself kicked around a lot more, if I know Mosley, and somebody's going to get that payday. It might as well be Robert as anybody else. It's nice work if you can get it.
It's not a terribly great scenario for Guerrero though. Good for him if he gets a high profile, big money type of fight against Shane, but it's no guarantee that Mosley's completely finished. So he's coming off two one-sided losses and a very poor showing in a draw, the fact is he never looked near his best at 154 to begin with and the losses came to the two best fighters in the world, one of whom he managed to badly hurt with a single punch. I feel it's probably too soon to completely write Shane off just yet, he's still a potentially dangerous opponent, and if Guerrero does happen to get a clear victory it's almost guaranteed to just be viewed as him beating up on a shot, old man. Outside of the whole money thing, it's basically a lose-lose situation for him.
He doesn't even have to fight Mosley to get my respect. Any top dog at 140 would do just fine. Why the hell does he not talk about beating Maidana first? After all, they were slated to fight at one point.
