BoxNation currently showing the Guerrero fight. Upon reflection (having watched the Canelo fight since), Guerrero had more success than I initially thought. Don't get me wrong - still a one-sided dominating performance from Money though!
I think at the time Guerrero got a lot of stick for his performance and lack of plan but in hindsight he did no worse then Canelo. Canelo really didn't have a plan neither and didn't utilize his size and strength at all and was outboxed with as much ease as Guerrero and Floyd fought pretty much one handed for 6 rounds supposedly. I'd say Guerrero did the better of the two just based on what was expected etc. Robert actually did ok for the first 4 rounds and then when Money went through the gears he was left behind.
They were both shockingly bad so it's hard to choose between either. People that don't think Amir Khan would do better against those two plus the likes of Ortiz, Marquez, Hatton, Cotto don't have a clue about how styles make fights. Am i saying Khan beats Mayweather? hell no but whilst the fight lasted he would give Floyd hell and probably be leading on scorecards if he fought the kind of fight he did with Kotelnik. Guys like Canelo and Guerrero are feet planters, they have to plant their feet to punch so to an intelligent boxer like Floyd can spot their punches a mile away and be out of range. Khan isn't a feet planter but rather someone who can punch on the move, punch and move out of range. In theory Khan has the speed amd movement to win every fight easily but he has terrible ring intelligence and allows himself to be drawn into brawls for no reason.
