@irishny,Hatton's body looked fit in his last fight and what happened? Just because you look in shape don't mean your not soft in the belly.

    What happened?
    Ill tell you what happened.

He hadnt fought in 3 years,in which time he developed a cocaine problem, suffered depression and went up to about 220lbs, and then went in against a ranked opponent.

    Thats what happened.

Outside of that one fight, when was he ever shown to be "soft in the belly?"

Robert is trying to be the bigger guy on the night of the fight. He can cut 10lbs of water weight easy without damage.

WHAT!!!??? that's 10lb of fluid!! No way anyone would be fine cutting that much weight in 48hr ... There are 2 things wrong with that if this is true .. Loss of energy , because of the energy needed to loose that much weight ..
Loss of fluid which takes away from your cardio output. Your lungs and heart will suffer from that much fluid loss.

10lbs of fluid in 48 hrs??

    Happens ALL the time.

    Ask anyone who has wrestled.

These fighters have professional trainers and professional nutritionists and professional doctors.

    They know what they're doing.

Drain down to make the weight. You have 18 hours to rehydrate, get yourself a few good meals. You'd put it back on easy. Some guys put in twice that in 18 hours.

You can even go get yourself put on an IV drip to rehydrate quicker.

Uh, where have you been the last 3 decades or so?

Miguel Cotto use to gain up to 17 pounds over night in his WW days.
Arturo gatti use to gain almost 20 pounds over night.
Ike Quartey use to gain almost 20 pounds over night also.

    There are so many examples.
