He is strong and alot bigger than people realize, but he is not nor has he ever been a big puncher at all all.
This guy has fought once at 140 and it was against a shot Casamayor, his best career win was against Katsidis at 135, and he's virtually an unknown by casuals. There's no basis for any argument supporting Guerrero as a legitimate opponent for Floyd.
He is a beast, at lightweight. Not proven at all beyond that weight. Golden Boy are looking to make as much money as they can with Floyd, hoping to match him with all of their fighters who could possibly fight him before he is done. If Floyd fights Guerrero, how will he ever live down having fought FIVE out of EIGHT opponents at welter coming off just one or no fights at the weight?.. having not fought established welterweights like Margarito, Cotto, P.Williams, Pac...if he fights Guerrero, then Khan, Maidana, wow :-(
This is a bad fight, not only would it be a mismatch I don't think it would be entertaining in the slightest. I also don't think that Mayweather is going to fight in Feb. at all, but if he were to actually fight in Feb. and then take on a major fight in May then Guerrero would be an ok option. It would have to be on HBO and not ppv and Mayweather would have to facing someone like Pac or Martinez in May though. Outside of a true stay busy fight Mayweather should not be facing Guerrero.
