Guess how many total punches Joe throws Saturday night

Calzaghe: thrown - 600; landed - 230 - in the ten rounds.

Hopkins: thrown - 400; landed - 100 - in the ten rounds

 

if Calzaghe throws 500 through 10, then he's not winning the fight and i'm assuming on my end that he gets knocked out or stopped if his work-rate is that low.

He usually turns it up after the mid-point ...

I'm expecting Calzaghe to throw about 60 punches per round against Hopkins.

 

That could very well be the caveat in case Joe can't find his legs. Will be interesting to see how the refs judges Calzaghes punches.

Is it possible (legal) in boxing to discount punches if they have absolutely zero effect on the opponent.:huh

I hope Calzaghe throws and infinite number of punches. In that case the refs can, for all I care, subtract a finite number and Calzaghe will still end up having throwed an infinite number. Get the MATH??? If not call S. Hawkings, you know, the guy that can make a black hole evaporate (I wonder if it goes for arseholes too. )

Calzaghe will throw around 700-800 punches. Against Kessler I believe he threw over 1000 punches, but he won't throw as many this time because unlike that fight, it ain't going the distance.

you know, I'm guessing and I'll have you know I'm going way out on a limb here but I'll say Joe C is gonna throw more then 5 punches.
