    Joe Frazier
    Carlos Ortiz
    Lou Salica

No idea of what common denominator would tie them together but they're close to the durations listed in each case.

You've got 'em! As for the unifying characteristic, each was the final ever ***** ***** ******** in their respective weight class...

^^ Frazier, Ortiz, and Salica respectively.

Seems about right for Smokin' Joe, no?

Of course referring to his pair of crushings at the hamhocks of Foreman, and trilogy with Ali. 1-4 in those bouts, which are probably head and shoulders higher profile than any of his others.

Timeframe of all three's careers should make the penny drop.

Yes, I got confused with the H2H status that you put him on. I don´t see Joe winning too many H2H fights.

Final ever NYSAC champion in each weight class is the only "final ever" that could possibly apply here, I think.

Yeah, he's put in a lot of fantasy matchups but doesn't have the winningest record in them. :sisi1 (unless it's versus old-timers from like turn of the century)

    2 for 2!

Some may wonder why "Wilfredo" Benítez wasn't included - in fact his given name was Wilfred. Wilfredo was a nickname sometimes applied by the press and fans.

I actually almost referenced Howard in my hint for the previous round. ("this heavyweight featured in one of the most famous calls in boxing broadcast history" - but figured it'd be a bit too much of an on-the-nose giveaway :sisi1)
