    Oh, brother!

In my attempt to defend myself against one instance of apparent fallibility, I blundered straight into an even greater one! Of course the First Lady is Norwegian - her name was fresh in mind as it popped up whilst researching those "greatest Scandinavian boxer" lists as compiled by journos and denizens of various forums...but in my haste (and without checking) I conflated her actual Scandinavian adopted home (as she is Colombian by way of birth, yet no more "Colombian" than Nelson or Williams is "Danish"! ;)) with the one in which she fought a majority of her pro career. She appeared on many a "Danish Fight Night" card, which I guess stuck in memory and left a stronger impression than her Norwegian citizenship (I knew she was Norwegian, had I stopped to actually think about it...but one typically doesn't associate Norway as closely with boxing as Denmark..)

Talk about Sideshow Bob stepping on a rake!

As to Battling Nelson and Kid Williams having different nationalities listed on BoxRec - you're 100% right, that is totally arbitrary for the former to be "Danish" while the latter is "American". So then, I guess you could say Denmark has either zero men (and no women, currently or prospectively, given that Cece isn't even applicable, lol) in the HOF, or two...depending on how you view expatriate status in relation to whom can rightfully claim you as flying their flag in the Hall...

As for Kessler's shot in '19, your reply to me in the "Kessler staying retired" thread pretty much reconciles our shared opinion: he might not get in were it a stronger year, but given that most of the lingering bubble guys are probably not getting off the bubble (as they've obviously been there for a reason, just not really as beloved within the voting body as they are by some fringe elements of the fandom or historians) while there happens to be a dearth of truly stiff competition due to be elbowing their way in at the same time as him: https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/mikkel-kessler-will-remain-retired.601685/page-2

Funny little anecdote regarding Monzón vs. Bogs:

Tom Bogs said to Carlos Monzon, “If you beat me, this is yours,” pointing to a gold boxing glove necklace. Later, Bog’s was partying with friends when Monzon cooly entered the room, walked over to his table and said “I believe this is mine.” He took it and left. This Day In Boxing Aug 19 1972.

This is a fascinating thread, though a bit beyond me. As you like boxing games, I was recently wondering what the shortest possible connection between, say, flyweight and heavy would be, in terms of y fought x fought z. Care to have a go?
