Guess What? On the Lomachenko Bandwagon more than ever!

I'm exactly the same, I was disappointed when Lomachenko wasn't throwing body punches early in the fight but when I look at it as a whole and put things in perspective I'm still incredibly impressed by what he did.
He showed some things that I didn't know for sure about him(his chin, stamina, ability to outmuscle a welterweight) and I know he'll learn from the fight. I had him winning and I thought he was very unlucky not to walk away with the title. Now that he's gone 12 against the worst style possible at the worst stage there is only massive upside and I can't wait to watch him dominate the pro game.

 

I agree. I was impressed with Lomachenko. He has the right to file a protest and rightly so. Laurence Cole should be suspended, in fact, Cole should have been suspended years ago. Cole should be ashamed of himself, but I guess his father will always take up for his incompetence. No fighter should ever fight in Texas.............

 

After this Arum may be done with Texas.

Regardless Garcia is a great fighter and he made Salido respect him early on.

That ref was unbelievable :-(. The low blow count reached about 5 within one 30 second span. The ref stepped in during the final round when Loma was power punching to give Salido a chance to get his breath. Salido held Loma's arm for about 10 seconds straight without the ref once calling for a separation. Salido didn't even make the weight.

Salido is pretty **** poor since in his opponent's second pro fight he has tO:
1. Fail to make weight, subsequently rehydrate 19 pounds and come in 11 pounds, or almost 10% of Loma's body weight
2. Low blow at least 15 times, I lost count
3. Buy a ref

and then claim to have given him a lesson in the pros. Yes, Loma learnt a lot from that fight, but not about skills. About the dirty political fight game.

 

That Salido didn't make weight shows how scared he was of Loma. That he won't rematch is confirmation.

Cool, cool. I remember this, I wasn't actually sad at all when Loma "lost" this, everything was stacked against him and he still went out there and did his thing. Real warrior.
