Guida has a good beard, but he'll get TKO'd by accumulation on the ground or guillotined. It won't go the distance, Guida will get softened up by the punishment he takes while on the deck. Guida is a cracking fighter, he's just that bit short of being a world title challenger, much like Chris Lytle and many other longtime UFC top 10-ers.
Guida deserved the decision against Pettis, but I think that Bendo is a bad matchup for him. Expect another very impressive performance but potentially the next LW champion.
Feel bad for Guida as he won't get his title shot. Not sure if his wrestling or striking is good enough. Hendo will want to **** him up too. It may even be a 5 round fight, who knows!
are you ****ing ******ed dude? have you even seen the fight? guida took petitis down how many times?:huh
sweet i was hoping this fight would be made but thought guida was gonna get the title shot first i cant wait for this and it should be a 5 rder which will upset guida's gameplan, he wont be able to ****** about like that for 5 straight rounds no way
It isn't five rounds but to be honest with Guida's crazy conditioning I'd imagine two more rounds would help not hurt him. Pretty much all the fights of his that have gone to decision he's got stronger as the fight's progressed.
are you positive it aint a 5 rder, for a title eliminator it should be imo, he has great conditioning but he slows down in the 3rd round petis was coming on strong in the last and guida was tired, henderson has better conditioning imo and has experience of 5 rd fights, ill be pissed off if this is only 3 rounds
Henderson via prolonged beatdown and late submission. Guida really only has one really effective tool and that's his takedowns and stifling control. He's trash on the feet and his position and submission game is trash, as well. Too wide of a gulf in class for him to overcome because Henderson is REALLY coming along.
I'm leaning towards Henderson in this fight, so I'm not really in that much disagreement with your post. I think that Guida has made significant improvements to this part of his game. If you look at his last few fights, Guida immediately looks to pass guard when he grounds his opponent and goes for the submission if he passes. I think that take downs and positional control are becoming Guida's strengths.
