Agree, but Lebedev can't continue fight so congrats to Jones.

    Respect for both fighters!

I think we'll see revenge soon.

I had it 97-93 after the 10th rd for Lebedev. Jones' chin was phenomenal considering Lebedev's power.

Not necessarily mediocre, he's in fact one of the best the division has to offer. But he is a class below Jones, that is the point I was making, and I really don't know why I have to repeat it for the third time. He was "beating" him on quantity and age. You watch boxing and you know it needs not be explained that in this sport it's not unusual for quantity to beat class. We had a 41 y.o. man in Jones with a 2 year layoff who was having a hard time keeping himself in pace with the younger Lebedev who, naturally, had a lot more wind in store.

It was flashback to Cotto margarito. AMAZING similarity.

Thats why im so glad he got the win if he was active and in better shape he woulda won earlier, glad he got the stoppage in the end even though Lebedev's eye had been ****ed for ages

A class below? Is that why he was leading on most people's scorecards? He landed the better punches all night, if one guy won on heart alone it's Jones.

maybe cause Lebedev was half blind for the last part of the fight? Lebedev was hitting Jones with some great shots but Jones was barely flinching.

Jones did a great margarito impersonation today. Without that granite chin, he'd have been knocked out. That's not being a skill level above, but out toughing a tough fighter. Impressive, but let's not twist why. He took a ton of hellacious shots yet ground down a tough fighter in Lebedev.

Two thoughts: don kings going to hold that belt hostage since Jones is his only champion, and jones looks like a full blown heavyweight. No idea how he makes 200

    New to boxing, are you?

Jones was landing the harder punches, but Lebedev landed a lot more, and clearly show (slightly) better skill than Jones. He moved faster, and threw from more varied angles. Jones got hit a LOT, bot in the head and body. He just happens to be insanely tough.

I dunno what fight you were watching. If Lebedev had made it to the final bell, he would have deserved a close victory on points.
