***Guillermo Jones vs Denis Lebedev #PLASTIC SURGERY 2# Official Countdown Thread***

Legitimately curious why almost everyone is picking Lebedev by UD in the prediction league...

The injury to Lebedev's eye was caused in the first round, hardly some mid fight freak injury that completely changed the momentum.

Jones showed a ever increasing work rate and Lebedev did the complete opposite.

I'm just not getting it.

 

It's a 50/50 fight... Lebedev was the much faster and more active fighter in the first one, held his own despite the giant hematoma that formed over his right eye. He lit GJ's up a few times, even in the later rounds.. GJ did a good job at working the eye with his jab throughout the fight, and that definitely won it for him... Should be interesting, but it's safe to say that if Lebedev isn't fighting with one eye he has a very good chance at winning.

 

Lebedev was winning the boxing/tech. of the fight, but his eye injury caused his loss. However, this fight could go either way, I think it will be 50/50, with Lebedev having a fair chance of outboxing Jones, but nobody will know until after the fight is over...............

 

It's for both their first fight after the their first brutal clash.
Jones is already 41, Lebedev is younger off course.
It's in Russia, so that gives Lebedev a huge benefit.
I think Jones has to knock him out, to get the win.
It's a 50/50 battle and I wouldn't dare to put my money on either of the 2.
