Now for starters, i have to say i'm biased when it comes to this potential fight, as i've never liked Huck. He fights in a crude, ugly, dirty style that's hard to watch for me and he's a typical product of German boxing, milking his belt against mostly hopeless mandatory challengers and getting the benefit of every doubt on the occassion that he does run into a challenger that can test him.

Jones, by contrast, is a pretty amazing story and it's hard not to root for the guy. Starting his pro career 20 years ago as a 21 year-old, 6'4 welterweight, he narrowly failed in 2 world title bouts at JMW in '98, moved up all the way to CW over the next 4 years, had to settle for a hotly disputed draw against Johnny Nelson for Nelson's WBO belt in 2002, but finally struck gold when he outworked and broke down Firat Arslan for the WBA belt in 2008.

Was ridiculed for his inactivity over the ensuing years, and then he comes back to beat down the fearsome Lebedev (who schooled Huck but was robbed) on Lebedev's hometurf to recapture his crown.

So it's obvious who i would be rooting for if this fight happened (which i doubt because i think Sauerland would never allow it).

But really, after the hellacious beating Jones gave Lebedev, who could pick against him in a fight with Huck? Jones is busier and more consistent then Huck, he's a better boxer, he's bigger (or at least taller) and his chin is way good enough to take Huck's wild swinging punches.

Jones by murder in a fight that i'd love to see.

Jones would dog him out. I'd love to see it.

Jones already cheated... here you have something not to like.
And Lebedev did not schooled Huck. He still won but it was not a schooling.

And yes Jones would win that fight. Huck is just not a skilled boxer and I doubt the power of Huck and his ambush style would give Jones any problems. At the end we wont see Jones fighting again any time soon. This guy dont needs to fight in order to keep his belt.

Huck protected? I disagree quite a bit. The guy fought Cunningham, Lebedev, Povetkin, Tokarev and is about to have his third fight with Afolabi. Of course he has his fair share of bums on his record but I wouldn't really call him protected.

To the potential matchup. I think it is really hard to predict, they both can take and give some. Would be an intriguing matchup

He means that Huck always gets every close fight. If the fight is close Huck gets it. Even if the other guy won this close fight.... But Huck faces good fighters this is true. After the Afolabi fight they want to have a rematch with Arslan (if Huck wins).

Huck would win on points. Jones outlasted Lebedev but he was getting his ass kicked left and right

Jones schools and brutalises the caveman, Huck bruises even more easily than Lebedev

Huck is too crude and will try to brawl, Jones stops him in the championship rounds.

Maybe you're right about Huck being protected, i guess i just have it in for the guy lol. All the more reason why i wanna see this fight!

  11. Huck will win through SD (Sauerland Decision).
