    How is Rigo’s hand doing? I hope it’s fully healed. First guy to ever hurt his hand by punching at air in the history of boxing. Rigo should be embarrassed to leave the house after hat fight. Loma agreed to his rehydration clause and beat him on skill. When was the last time an undefeated champ ever gave up with a fake injury?

    The Rigo hate here is comical. A small, old, 118/122 pounder moved up two weight divisions giving up weight, height, and reach(yes multiple HBO armpit to fist measurements show Loma has more reach than Rigo) to take on a guy who was arguably P4P number one and in his prime. Had the Rigo that fought Donaire fought Loma at featherweight, he would have probably beat him. Old Rigo moving up two weight classes was a bit much though. Guys with half Rigo's skill are giving Loma problems. If Rigo was Loma's size he definitely beats him, old or not.

    Loma had six non-amateur bouts, prior to signing with Top Rank. The Salido fight was his 8th pro fight

    Salido won, but the hyperbole you’re attaching to the manner of victory is astounding. Is a 7-5 fight that could conceivably have been scored 7-5 the other way a spanking or a school? Never mind both?

    It was actually recorded on boxrec back then. Top Rank probably lobbied to get those characterized as non-pro bouts so they could promote this A list Amateur standout as getting a title in one or two fights. Two bad Salido mugged him and ruined it.

    Absolutely laughable that anyone could claim lomas win over rigo is a better win than Floyd over JMM. Rigo is a 50 year old 118 pounder that Loma dragged up because he desperately needed a name on his resume

    I agree with all of that except that Rigo is actually very talented. That is beyond a doubt. He just met someone even better and can't accept that fact like many top fighters.

    Floyd dragged Marquez up 2 weight classes and then he missed the contracted catch-weight of 144. Fighters fight tooth and nail over a single pound — Floyd missed (didn't bother making) weight.
