Looks like he bought into his own hype starting a few fights back. Not the first time that's happened with a talented fighter, certainly won't be the last.

Didnt carry the weight well and Darchinyan might have taken a page or 2 out of the Rigo handbook

Donaire has struggled when guys dont open up and force him to lead

bad showing, may not be the end for Donaire, yet

nonito, an athletic fighter with a punch. was never a masterful technician or pure counterpuncher, he just had excellent reflexes(athleticism). add that with his love for the homerun punch, it seems like nonito seems poised to stagnate from here on out. probably won't get knocked out as he seems to have a good set of wiskers.

Montiel's claim to fame was beating a severely weight drained Hasegawa who moved up two weight classes in his next fight. Montiel then lost to Terrazas, post Donaire. Montiel was a bit over rated and wasn't better than anyone in the bantam tourney, or Moreno.
