Cordova was take it to school and if you remember correctly it was the first 12 rounder for a 6 fight fighter, tell how many of your "idols" has done that? OK I know, none of them, Rigondeaux won the first 5 rounds with a Knockdown he got dropped by a counter jab, ala Casamayor-Guerrero no biggie, and them got cautious and ran for the rest of the fight, still he was never touch on that last five round and he hurt Cordova again, it should have been a nearly shutout because he only loss one round, so STFU...
The rigo dick sucking is ridiculous here on ESB. He's a very talented fighter, but he hasn't fought **** since turning profess in 2008
Let me know when Rigo stops giving bums from the olymics rematches and actually fights a real pro. Cubans should put their gold medals on the line since they bring nothing else to the table. I know juanma and WV2 wouldnt mind adding Rigos to their collection of belts.
We shall wait and see.... he's only fought like what.. 10 fights. They should put the amateur record aside and test him out with a great fighter around his division.
The amateurs don't count. I understand acknowledging skill levels, but if that were the case, one could make a P4P list that featured only prospects and unproven guys and could completely justify it. These are the pros. You earn your ranking. Look at his resume... 10-0, KO 8 Notables W SD12 Ricardo Cordoba (37-2-2) W TKO1 Willie Casey (11-0) W KO6 Rico Ramos (20-0) W TKO5 Teon Kennedy (17-1-2) --- Sorry, but I could name 40 guys worthy of higher P4P placement easily off the top of my head.
Big fan of technical fighters, esp Rigo, but you have to beat the best to be the best. No point in having all that skill and not prove your worth. I think he will prove his worth eventually, but I think his limit vs elites might be 135. Sure in sparring he may beat 140-147lbers, but not in the level of a Jmm, Pac, or especially Floyd. But 126-130 he looks like he has a real chance based on his skill alone. One way to find out.
