After so many years of bad feeling because he was stuck in cuba, of even taking out a short preview of docuemntary I was making about him, of calling people in Cuba to see what his situation was, on telling everybody in this forum who Guillermo Rigondeaux was, of expresing my bad feeling because I tought he would never box again, Finally my favorite boxer, 2 time Olympic golf medal "Guillermo Rigondeau" is finally a free man in Miami

I haven ever been so excited in my life as a boxing fan,

I have said it over and over that this guy is better than Solis, Gamboa, Lara, Casamayor and all of the Cuban fighters you guys have had the oportunity to watch over the years.

This is truly a great day for me, and belive me this guy will be the best in the sport soon enough.

Free man... is a bit interesting choice of words, but I get what you mean.

It is the single best breaking news boxing had in a while, I'm still a bit shocked, for me, not having heard the 'rumors', it came out of nowhere.

What a great news! And already in Miami! I'm with you man, boxing is in for a treat.

just look him up on youtube "Guillermo Rigondeaux", 2 time Olympic Gold Medal at 24 years old, with a record of "243w - 4L" in the olympics he fought at 120lbs so I expect him to fight Pro at around 135lbs,

Rigondeux fought his entire senior career at 54 kilos, and he's 28, hardly growing, so I doubt he'll fight highter than Super Bantamweight. And I think he shouldn't.

yep,he is free,he is free to choose what he wants to do with his life,he might succed or fail but isnt Castro the one telling him what to do.And by not representing Cuba in the Olympics doesnt make him less cuban than anybody else(same as all pro boxers banned from Olympics games):thumbsup

Rigondeaux might very well be the best p4p fighter RIGHT NOW. This guy is beyond amazing. Let's hope his best days are ahead,
