Guillermo Rigondeaux is Un-Promotable and Unwatchable (He Was Given Maximum Exposure)

Bob Arum gave him all the exposure in the world, but his stinking, gross, negative style makes him unwatchable. Bob Arum hooked this ugly POS up big time. Bud Crawford ain't never benefited from such exposure!

Rigondeaux was showcased in televised undercard fights on the following mega high profile fights:

(Sod Kokietgym, okay, this wasn't a mega fight, but Arum was pushing and promoting Shiming HARD)

    Rigondeaux headlined the following fights:

The Nonito Clinic was a thing of beauty, but that was Rigondeaux's only fight that has any repeat viewing value.

I like Rigo and I want to find an excuse but really there is none. Him and Lara really make me mad because they never finish a kill ever. Rigo maybe more than Lara but they both have the raw talent to put the bums they fight away and they refuse to.

Rigo was fighting over in Japan laying guys out and as soon as HBO gives him another chance he blows it.

It's hard to defend these guys as a fan to people who don't really watch boxing because they truly make a easy fight harder than it has to be.

The Agbeko performance was the most disgraceful performance ever by an elite fighter. Agbeko was TERRIFIED of Rigondeaux. What did Rigondeaux? Stinkiest fight ever. People WALKED OUT by the mid rounds.

:-( I know. Rigo ****s in his own hat every chance he gets. He doesn't even give a chance to a promoter to **** him over because he is too busy ****ing himself.

He's a great boxer but yeah, he plays too safe. Reminds me of Wlad in a way, he could EASILY take the guy out sometimes or perhaps put an even more dominant display but he's literally not willing to do anything outside of his comfort zone or that would amount to even a slightest bit of risk of getting hit.

He's also pretty much exclusively a counter puncher and don't be fooled, dude's got power in his hands, and what happens is that it kills his opponent's workrate when he gets a good counter in, but it does the same for Rigo since he has less to counter himself lol.

This. Watching Rigondeaux fight is like watching paint dry.

amazingly gifted fighter and i did enjoy watching him especially in the donaire fight, honestly go and watch that fight and tell me it was not entertaining, my boy put on a MASTERCLASS and made donaire (p4p 3 at the time) look garbage

lately he has recieved criticism for not pumping the gas when he has his man hurt and its completely valid, the agbeko fight left a sour taste in my mouth, he had him completely lost in there in pure survival mode even had him down to throwing 2 PUNCHES! 2 WHOLE ****ING PUNCHES in one round and still he refused to step up his pressure.

his latest fight was even worse simply because agbeko is no joke and a very good fighter, but vs drian francisco he did the exact same after having him equally as helpless in the ring. and francisco was ranked around the 50th for the division

    50TH!!! =[

i hope rigo learns he has to be a little more entertaining, but given his age i feel he will just continue to play with his dinner and collect paychecks before retiring

    Unwatchable :huh

Frampton vs Rigo would've been very watchable for me and most other boxing fans.

Frampt threw his belt away so its not happening. Blame Framp , not Rigo.

He's type of guy who fights down to level of his opponent. Him vs Frampton would be a good fight where Rigo shows his true level but he needs to do more against low level opposition. When he faces a journeyman, he needs to get him out of there, but he just doesn't give a ****.
