This guy is a prodigy. Absolutely loved watching him at work in Sydney, such a dominating style.

I know it's a big call, but I really believe he would have had all the tools to clean out the pros.

He seems good ... why can't fighters like that defect from Cuba instead of guys like Gamboa -- who seems to be full of himself instead of learning and perfecting his craft?

One of the best Cuban fighter i've seen clips of was Mario Kindelan ... I read that he beat some good pros in the amateurs.

I don't like it how some Cuban fighters are forced into staying in the amateurs once they've reached their peak.

It would be nice to see more of those fighters and trainers defect from the country and show what they have ...

It would be nice for Cuba if they actually hosted some pro fights ... i'm sure it would be great --

It would also give the world a chance to see if they're for real as far as pro level and world class fighters.

I'm sure there would be some of those guys getting exposed ...

I also noticed that some of those guys at there most effective state are in their late 20's and have already peaked physically ... and most have been boxing at a very early age.

Like I said before about Gamboa ... this guy's window for improvement is damn near closed ... he already reached his peak ...

He's 27 right now ... and he's been dominating the amateurs at the time that he should be a pro --

Hopefully Öner is working on Lara's VISA, possibly German citizenship and a trip to Hamburg...

I haven't heard anything... but that's really a good news since it indicates that nothing unexpected has happened... Of course I'd really like to hear the news that Lara is safe and well in Germany and ready to start his new life and career...

Rigondeaux is in a bad situation if he got caught when Lara left... his boxing career is definitely over now in Cuba, so jumping off the bout wasn't the best idea, but this is not a nice holiday boat trip... :-(

how can you say that by just looking at a clip

gamboa is perfecting HIS OWN craft that he seems to be really good at....it's when you try to change that up that you become a stinker (cough cough oscar cough cough)
