Charlo was punching with anger and resentment. Those punches were launching Cota off both feet. Plus he has straightened out that right hand. He intends to punch a hole through Harrison and it wouldn't surprise me if he did.

 

Gotta give props to Riggs. He stepped into a man's wheelhouse and went mano e mano. Never thought I would see him do that but he showed the heart of a gunslinger and came through like a champ. It was an exciting fight for me but wouldn't want to see him continue down this path. Maybe a mix of both skillsets.

 

Yes he has to because his legs are gone, so he will have to stand and trade more. The only good thing for him is that he has excellent power as he showed last night so he will still be dangerous.

 

I remember when Cory Spinks did the same thing. Obviously, in his case it didn't work because he lacked any power and overall just wasn't as good as Rigo. But I agree that Rigo is having to do this because of his age and lost legs. That fight was so surprisingly entertaining, I couldn't believe it tho.

 

These idiot refs need to stop ruining fights. Another total bogus stoppage

 

I think he can still move a bit. He explained his reason for fighting that fight in the post fight interview. He let fan criticism get to him. It's impressive for a guy his age, at his weight class to fight in a style the total opposite of what he is comfortable with, and win. Nobody can question his heart, and chin after that. He still needs to tighten up his inside defense a bit as well as his workrate if that is how he is gonna be fighting. Personally I'd rather see a 60/40 mix of his boxing vs inside fighting. He would be flattening guys left and right if he mixed the two styles together, and would be taking less punishment.
