Who cares, it's good to have someone saying those sort of things in boxing. If he beats Donaire it will be something, beating a p4p guy in only his 12th money bout.

Rigondeaux from what I have heard has had a great camp so far and is in the best shape of his life. If Rigondeaux can't beat Donaire, then I don't know anybody that can.

All i can say is wait and see. Amateur boxing, at the elite level that Rigo was fighting, matters. It matters and the sole fact that he is fighting Donaire shows it. If it didnt matter he wouldnt be fighting for a P4P spot at 11-0.

Read slowly, i know it's alot of info for your brain cell to comprehend.

Yeah more money on the line, paper titles going around for everyone who pays their fees, don't have to fight anyone if you don't want to.
It's funny that that is the 'professional' version of our sport. Imagine Federer and Nadal refusing to face each other because they weren't getting paid enough, their promoters didn't allow it, or they were on different networks.

'Amateur' or olympic boxing is the sport, you have to win tournaments by facing and beating the best, you have no choice. 'Pro' boxing is just money making. That's why boxing is often viewed as being more like 'pro' wrestling than a legitimate sport.

Forget it man, these guys have favourite wrest..... I mean boxers that they support, they don't know the sport of boxing. They just follow characters and whoever is being hyped up at the moment.

Yeah amateur boxing is only 3 rounds. This fight will be for 12 rounds and one slip up from Rigondeaux in those 12 rounds might prove to be costly.

I wish Rigo would stop talking, he should focus on the fight because even if hes winning his chin can get cracked, he should save all the talking for after

This interview is old as ****, years old. Rigo has been relatively quiet this camp, focused and ready to do his talking in the ring.

Wtf, yea the pro sport is riddled with corruption and peds but you can't compare that **** to wrestling get the **** outta here with that ****. Going 12 ****en rounds with very little protective gear is no ****en joke, and very different to fighting 3 rounders with headgear. No one is saying that Rigo is ****, he clearly has skills people are just trying to explain that the pros is a whole different ball game.

I been around the game for a while and it seems that this is something that your little brain can't comprehend so I will use caps :AMATEURS ARE DIFFERENT FROM THE PROS!

So until proven otherwise he's untested at the pro level but this will be the measuring stick !

Really now? He's made statements like he could beat all of Donaire's opponents in one night. He also dug deep into the past and made fun of Donaire trying to sign with Golden Boy and called him a traitor.

Yeah it is different, it's the money making, poor opponent facing, hyped up cousin of the actual sport, Olympic boxing.
What's more difficult to win, a pro title or an Olympic gold? There are journeymen in pro boxing who have won 'world' titles.
Rigo with his lack of pro experience picked up a 'pro world title' in no time, do you think that was more difficult to earn than his Olympic medals?
