before his last fight on espn, they showed an interview with Rigondeaux and he said straight up "after 7 or 8 fights i want to be fighting for a title".

 

they dont know yet but they want to fight someone much better than what they have fced so far

 

quick summary

- he will be fighting for the wba international title i know it doesnt mean crap but it should help him in the rankings
- roach will finally be on his corner that night apperently
- the fight will be 10 rounds

Couldn't agree more. The guy is ready. His amateur pedigree proves it. 243-2. Yeah, he is new as a pro, but, the guy has been fighting for quite a while, and is one talented mothafugga. Fighting these type of boxers, will be a waste of time for him and his fans.

those international titles are crap for top fighters who have already made their reputation as world class fighters in the pro ranks. For a guy with 2 fights under his belt thats a hell of an accomplishment

 

decubas also said without giving many details to not be surprised if other cubans are on the same card, i heard from a pretty good source lara will be in the card and most likely headlining it , i dont expect gamboa or solis to be in ot for obvious reasons so it will probably be johnson and despainge

If Hyde wins that his next fight will be on the undercard of a world title fight in Dublin on the 26th of sept (which will be streamed free online)

Some inside info: A friend of mine (a boxing coach) lived close to Rigondeaux untill Rigo left and saw him on a regular basis, and told me yesterday that he had been drinking and smoking in those two years layoff and believes he screwed himself up.

We will find out if he's right or not.
