Aha. That's interesting to know. Any idea which ones? I'm curious if they were better guys or about the same.

the Baldomir-Mayweather PPV sold pretty well and I believe Winky-Hop sold fairly decent .. and despite being regarded as a solid fighter, I wouldn't say Wright is a particularly big name

regarding Rigo, last night Atlas and commentary was talking about fast starts to the title and mentioned Leon Spinks who won a belt in his 8th pro fight

if those talks in April come true it appears Rigo could be fighting for a title in his 6th or 7th pro bout (he could fight again before that April bout)

but would he be the quickest to win two title belts? as Caballero holds the IBF and WBA titles

that was a good body shot but it wasn't anything out of this world.. for that guy to be laying down in the canvas for mins from that shot it means he was a tomato can and didnt want to fight... that's embarrassing a guy with two Olympic golds and all his amateur experience he shouldn't be fighting opponents like this

why don't you like this guy man? What has he done to you?

Its not easy to find contenders who are willing to step into the ring against a guy who is 4-0 but would likely knock them out. Those guys know that if they ever wanna get a shot at the title they better keep away from Rigondeaux.

So its unfortunate cause Rigo can either fight a journeyman or a world champion. There is noone in between which is probably what he is trying to get.

Not surprised. WHAT THE HELL PEOPLE EXPECTED??? Landeros lost his last two fights including being KO by Wilfredo Vazquez Jr.
Vazquez Jr. never fought amateur and is learning on the job. He is not a superstar and dont even have a quarter of the experience Rigondeaux has. And he knocked out that guy. That wasnt a real opponent.
That said, Rigondeaux is good, very good. I cant wait to see him against a real opponent.

I think this is fair. I don't see what people are bitchin about here.

I think Rigondeaux is ready for a legit journeyman/road warrior type fighter now. The guy is so effortless it's unreal.

He does not need Pernell Whitaker in his corner.

By his own right, Rigondeuax is very slick already but he has the amteur mantality which is to score clean. Meaninbg that they are not offensive minded enough.

Roach is probably the right coach because Roach is very offensive oriented coach.

At 28, rigondeaux needs to fight regularly and spectacularly. He is at the age where most professional fighters are at prime, and within a couple of years (probably maximum of 5 or 6 years), you expect things to deteriorate.

You're right. He has no room for error and by no means is in a position to take things slow. At this time, they need to go after a live opponent. Maybe even someone we've all heard of.

I dont have anything against him all im saying is that for all the talent and hype he has he hasnt fought a live body yet.. all he's doing is fighting bums and everybody here goes crazy cause he knock him out.. thats what he's supposed to do when you are a top prospect fighting bums.. is not his fault he fights whoever his promoters put in front of him. But is easy to find better opponents and the nobody wants to fight me excuse is bull cause money talks and all the have to do is offer a few more dollars to a better fighter and they will fight.. and for a prospect like him i know his promoters shouldnt have any problem spending a little more money is just an investement unless they dont belive in him.
