    :lol: Dude, he's widely regarded as one of the greatest boxers ever to step into the ring, amateur or pro, and will be forever remember for his achievements at the AMs only matched by Papp, Savon and Stevenson. Yes, they fought (mainly) in the amateurs, yet they are universally recognized among the greats. Rigo's place is already secured regardless of his pro career, which happened to kick off just a few fights ago. Are you really going challenge general consensus?

    He's in the pros now and that's what we're talking about, once you make the jump in whatever sport from amateur to profesional you have to prove yourself all over again. Christian Lettner was a great college basketball player but in the NBA he was a nobody. He'll make the HOF as a college player not a pro. And as of now Rigo is the same he hasnt done anything in the pros and people here are talking about him winning multiple championchips in different weight classes and all that. Let him win one first before we have him beating anybody he faces.

    Well, amateur boxing is not "college boxing", in fact, there are 10+ Gold medallists every four years whereas pro boxing and it's 17 divisions, 4 organizations plus interim and super championships produce about 100 champs in the same 4-year period. A pro fighter could pick up an ABC belt in 3 divisions without facing any of the divisions top 3 whereas in the ams you gotta go though the elite in every world-wide competition. But you are right, amateur achievements, even if legendary, don't guarantee pro success. But they are pretty damn good indicators. :yep

    Guillermo Rigondeaux completely dismantled and destroyed Teon Kennedy on the PacMan-Bradley undercard, sending a strong message to rivals Nonito Donaire, Jorge Arce, Toshiaki Nishioka and HBO, Top Rank. Next could be Jorge Arce.

    And he did it in the Manny Pacquiao style. I admit I was impressed with his KO of Kennedy. If he does that to another guy or couple of guys Donaire wont be able to avoid him as pressure is now growing on Donaire to fight him.

    Beautiful knockdowns. On that last one look how he times his punch perfect and knows to have his shoulder in front to protect his chin.

    Guy can be the GOAT at 122 or 126 if he stays with it for another 5-8 years.
