Don't forget one thing: Rigo was out for 2 years, had his last amateur bout back in July 2007.

Matt Korobov for example put down his amateur gloves, sat on an airplane, 1st class, walked into a US gym and had his pro debut inside a month, whereas Rigo was dragged back to Cuba in 2007, was humiliated before the whole nation, banned from boxing for good, he and his family was under constant intimidation, defected Cuba leaving his family behind, went to Miami only God knows how, and already in this stupid promotional trouble.

He should move forward very fast, but let's just give the guy a little break at the very beginning and let's see how he looks 2 years after his last fight.

Actually you just made me think of something, i read an interview with Luis De Cubas about 2 weeks ago and he said that Rigondeaux had not been signed officially to Arena Boxing just yet because they were still working out little things, do you think this is because hyde has him signed?

    Gary Hyde is my source!

court date is 2moro Gary is hoping for an injunction to be placed as Rigo was contracted to him first (as i told you a few months ago)

personally i feel with will with hold Rigo's purse and he will fight

but there is a possibility that the injuction will be put in place and he will not be allowed to fight.

I will post any info from the court here tomorrow so you guys will know.

Id say that is exactly why. its going to be sorted out on friday regardless.

If gary wins Rigo will stay in Miami, He may even allow Arena to promote him.

But I heard about a month ago that everything got taken care of and Oner singed Rigondeaux, which I hoped was true that way he could fight here in the states.

I would have to say that 2 weeks ago i was reading ESPN's Dan rafael's notebook and he has a little article with Luis de cubas hyping up Rigo's debut but the one thing i found kind of strange is that Luis said that Rigo was not signed just yet

here is the link is at the middle of the page: it was about a month ago

    http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/boxing/notebook?page=notebook/boxingapril24

They said he was finalizing an agreement but nothing official yet, that was a month ago i dont know about now

what i do find odd is that no american media source is talking about rigo not fighting or having legal trouble everything i read they say that it has been sorted out, but maybe just maybe that's just them assuming since oner promised the debut

Juan Noriega? Are you ****ing serious?

Noriega is one of Stacey's Goodson's Trailer Park bums.

Even I would knock that fool's ****** 'tasche clean off his face.

    Awful first opponent for Rigondeaux.

Though I still don't think he's fighting tomorrow, personally.

Actually, maybe Hyde will go ahead and let him.
