Rigo would win. Morales would not be able to walk through counters like Rigo's.

After re evaluating Morales' fights during his prime I almost forgot how much of a beast he was. I really think Morales would have overwhelm Rigondeaux and walk through his counters. He knew when to box and pressure and he would have outjabbed and outwork Rigo much like Loma.

That Raheem wasn't half as good as prime Rigondeaux. Rigondeaux over Morales by disfigurement.

 Morales didn't have the hand speed, foot speed or boxing ability of Lomachenko. And this is a prime vs prime hypothetical. Morales' face would also start to disfigure from those left hands after a few rounds, regardless of whether Rigondeaux was made to wear Winning gloves or not. Rigondeaux's punches seem to damage facial bones and tissue fairly frequently.

Morales was nowhere near his prime when he lost to Raheem. I'd favor a prime Morales over Rigo.

Morales was a monster at 122.

Rigo is not nearly as large as Raheem.

Rigo is a southpaw (unlike Raheem) and Erik loved feasting on southpaws.

After seeing Rigo utterly quit, there is no reason to believe that he could gut it out against El Terrible.

Yet he had just beaten the beast Manny Pacquiao the fight before. So all of a sudden he ia a scrub? Fact is, Morales was still a top level operator. The Raheem clinic seemed to take his soul and send his career on a dive. Rigondeaux is all wrong for any version of Morales.

38 and jumped two divisions to fight a top fighter.

You know Pacquiao is much smaller than Raheem. And 135 was Morales 4th weight class.

Very few boxers can just ascend through the weights with ease like Pac or DLH or Duran.

Morales best weight was actually 126 IMO. But hes a beast at 122 as well.

And yes he puts a beatdown on Rigo. Morales is actually the only man to defeat a prime Pac. Guys like Hatton, Cotto, Marquez, Barrera, nobody could do it besides Morales. So that's the level he was on.

Those fights with Manny took a toll. He was never the same after that. Look at his career post Manny. I say, Morales prior to Pac beats Rigo. Just an opinion. I thought Rigo wouldn't quit against Loma. In fact, I said that Rigo quitting is the most unlikely outcome of the Loma fight. I got that one wrong big time.
