Yes weight and size had something to do with it. Lomachenko had trouble with guys like Campbell, and Linares who have half Rigondeaux's talent. The difference is that those guys were real lightweights, not a smaller guy moving up two weight classes who was three or four inches shorter and gave up 12 or more pounds in the ring. If Rigondeaux was a 5'7 lightweight, Lomachenko would have never moved up to lightweight.
