Sublime skills. Suspect chin. To make matters worse, he's moving up 2 divisions against a guy with equal skill. I think it's going to be one sided. The size disparity will be too much.

Hahahahaha. Are you really saying since people are discrediting Loma's potential win against a 37 year old that is moving up 2 weight classes that they'll do the same if Loma moves up 4 weight classes and beats a younger man?

This could come down to heart. Rigo doesn't like being in a WAR. But he might not have choice here. He can't run from Loma for 12 rounds.

I'm saying that they'll never let go of the Salido thing.

It's very hard to pick a winner but kind of easy to see what each fighter needs to do to win and will likely try to implement.

Lomachenko needs to overwhelm Rigo with the pace of his offense while staying elusive enough with his head movement to avoid getting caught with big shots consistently. It will be very difficult for Loma to land clean shots on Rigo because there are barely any openings in his defense and his footwork is so elusive. However even if Loma doesn't land clean he can win rounds by closing in from angles that make it very difficult for Rigo to connect with counters and throwing a high volume of shots and manhandling Rigo a bit. Loma will definitely get caught a few times but this is where the size advantage comes into play. Rigondeaux has great power but how much will it carry.

On the flip side Rigondeaux needs to control Loma's pace with his defensive footwork and pick out openings when Loma is in range (the openings are there). I believe Rigondeaux is gonna pop Lomachenko who does tend to keep his head up with a low guard and rely on reflexes for defense. Rigondeaux is very cagey, conceals his offense well, and can analyse holes in the opponent's defense. Loma also tends to admire his work which will get you popped against Rigo. I don't think Loma will be doing that in this fight though.

I think this fight will play out much like Calzaghe vs Hopkins despite the fact that they are both southpaws in this case. The biggest difference however is that both Loma and Rigo have more power than Calzaghe and Hopkins, and IMO Rigo moves around the ring better than Hopkins while Hopkins is better at smothering his opponent. If Rigondeaux can't slow Lomachenko down, he is going to lose on the cards.

It's a great fight. My final pick is Rigondeaux.

That's boxing though. This isn't exclusive to Loma. It's actually a compliment to Loma in a way. Nearly 2 decades later people will mention Castillo when you talk about Floyd being undefeated.

My bad. I broke down the strategies correctly but in terms of execution underestimated Loma / Overestimated Rigo who I have been supporting since 2010. The biggest difference was the speed and especially accuracy which I thought Rigo had more of but it was the other way around. Also I didn't see Rigo using his footwork like I thought he would.

    Loma is a p4p talent obviously, probably p4p #1.
