I'm not making my pick yet.....I do think it will be a close decision for either guy...SD/MD for somebody Imo on paper floyd has the physical advantages...is the better counter-puncher...better footwork, better overall defense... Pacquiao has the advantage in the speed department, power, and better offensive arsenal.... Manny can win this fight if he keeps his activity up, and improves his defense....Still to this day, Pacquiao's defense is average....I think it could be the difference in the fight....He still gets hit way to easily for somebody that has good lateral movement, but floyd sr. is right in one aspect, manny needs to move his head more against floyd.... Floyd can win this fight, if he doesnt stay stationary too long, and I don't think he will make the mistake of standing right in front of pacquiao for too long....He should use his physical attributes, his jab, counter the offensive minded pacquiao...and keep moving....
Pac all day everyday... pac will be on the attack for 12 rounds and floyd on the defense for 12 rounds.. pac wins by UD
there was a time when Pacquiao wouldn't even beat Guzman, Campbell, Juan Diaz, and Yuri GAMBOA here in ESB. If you dare disagree with the general consensus among ESB experts, you become a delusional fan. Yet this man just dismantled an elite welterweight and has been on a run of KOs against bigger men. that is how greatly underrated Pacquiao is in ESB. That general feeling of underestimating Pacquiao still runs alive and healthy in ESB today. Not surprisingly because ESB school of thought is dominated by appreciation towards the slick boxer model of fighter. and mayweather is the best at that type of fighting. ESB would be surprised again if Pacquiao beats mayweather and experts here will say things like he defies logic. No, pac does not defy logic, he just defied ESB's general estimation of his abilities.
I'm not too set on el mosquito's remarks, although they were well described! I just think it's hard to bet against the man with the talent which has saw him through every challenge and a recent domination of Pacquiao's nemesis. The odds will shorten nearer the fight, but I think the vast majority (including myself) are having that gut feeling of Mayweather popping and bagging rounds.
