I hope gustaffson defeats machida. Im not interested what-so ever in seeing jones fight machida again..
What are the chances of this fight happening, you reckon? Close to 100%, I'd say. #1 contender vs #2 contender, it makes sense, they both say they want it, and the fans want it. It's gonna happen. :happy :hat
Gufstasson hasn't earned a shot yet. He needs to beat a higher ranked guy like Machida. I'd like to see this fight.
Jones could potentially be on the shelf for 6 months to a year. I broke a bone in my foot during training once and had to wait almost a full year for it to heal.
i've thought the same ever since his loss to jones. he won't get caught again imo, he knows what to expect now.
Machida has fought one rematch in his career and he lost it by devastating knockout after being on the right end of a robbery the first time. Seems a bit optimistic to assume that he'll just make all the adjustments required to beat Jones this time. Especially considering that Jones is better now than he was in the first fight, while Machida isn't. :good :hat
I like machida in this one. I feel like Alexander has been matched favourably/softly in an attempt to make him look good and get a flashy record and name recognition. The only thing he has going for him here is size, lyoto is better all round
