Not a bad idea, Gust needs to get experience against top guys and T Silva is a solid opponent.

Exactly and Silva ALWAYS brings it and has the ground skills to test him where he failed against Phil Davis.

He actually brought Phil Davis into his camp for the Matu fight, a good idea because he will have to able to fight with top wrestlers if he has any chance getting anywhere. T Silva offers a good all around game,
is this a rumoured fight or just one you thought of yourself?

I'm a firm believer that Gustafsson would **** Jon Jones up if he can get his wrestling up to par...and who better to help him than Phil Davis?

Gustafsson is really using his height and reach well. His striking is looking better each time. He has beaten 2 wrestlers in a row now. If he can show he can aggressively grapple too then he is an excellent challenger for Jon Jones.

Gustafsson will lose to Jones, I would bet anything on it. I am a big fan, though, and a fight against any of the top LHW's would be great. I think he is ready, and skilled enough to match up with any of the top strikers like Machida, Shogun, or Rampage. He would likely be the underdog in any of those, but a very much alive underdog, to be sure.

He has oddly short reach for a guy his height, interestingly enough. He can match height with Jones, but he comes up massively short in wingspan.

Yeah, this is a good call. Gustafsson would **** him up, but it'd be good while it lasted.

I really like what I've seen from Gustafsson. He needs another couple of fights before he is ready for Jones though IMO.

    :hat

He needs a fight against someone like Silva, should he win, give him a fight with the winner of Rampage/Bader bout..THEN let him attempt to secure a #1 contender bout, that'll probley come in the form of a Henderson/Phil Davis/Rashad...

Great fight. Gustafsson/Silva could be the main event for UFC Sweden in April.

Co-main event if they are beefing up the card for their Swedish debut.
