I think they knew what they were dealing with. Lee wore some noticeable apprehension at the referee's instructions and was clearly leery of Lemos' power before Lemos had really shown him any. But it was a chance to box for a world title again if he won — you don't pass those up unless you have an embarrassment of options, and the fact that Matchroom didn't even bother to beat the Argentine promoter tells us that Lee doesn't have an embarrassment of options. That, and he's a game man, he's not just going to tell himself he has no chance.

I felt like I felt the night I watched three rounds of Porter-Malignaggi and had to bet on Paul to get stopped in the next round at 4/1. Not a great feeling, but easy dough is easy dough.

Saw how he threw punches...how ferocious he was, that he had some dig..what weight the fight was at ... Quick thought to the last time lee fought an aggressive puncher ( maybe never .lol) feel bad for him...don't dislike Lee but this was a truly awful idea at 35

 

Agreed... occasions like this are rare in boxing and you have to jump on them ....sadly I didn't have more money to put on it cos I'd had a woeful day betting getting let down by Oldham athletic ( this is what happens when you bet heart over head .) and kiko getting himself stopped by Josh "the Billy goat" Warrington lol

 

I had to spread a £2,000 stake across six sportsbooks, because of stake maximums on a Lemos T/KO (and because some are stake factoring me, besides — I asked an acquaintance to access his account at one book to check how much he was able to stake on the fight, and it was a considerably higher amount than the amount I was able to stake using my account at the same book).

Outside of that, I was lazy with it on this fight weekend. I suspected Warrington would stop Kiko this time around (he looked his age before catching Galahad), but not strongly enough to back it at the book. Would've liked to bet on the Argentine chick to beat Ivorie Hodges, but figured that all Hodges might need to do was look busy and hear the final bell, so passed. To my discredit, I completely overlooked Nakathila-Berchelt pre-fight, and I'm not sure why, other than laziness, because, if I'd given it any thought, it would've occurred to me that a Nakathila T/KO was distinctly possible and would've been priced very nicely — I wasn't watching, but, when I checked into the RBR thread and heard Berchelt was taking a licking, I dropped a speculative £30 in-play on him by T/KO at 18/1 on the very outside chance that he might come out the other side of the thrashing and turn the tide. Notwithstanding that minor chip out of my takings, it was a solid weekend due to Gustavo Lemos alone.

And goodness, how over is this kid in Argentina? He got multiple road warrior pops! Entrance, intro, and each time he got the poor Welshman in trouble.

Just caught up with last nights fights. I know robbery is an overused term on here but those score cards were some of the worst Ive ever witnessed. Sometimes I hate boxing, felt very bad for Lemos
