Robinson didn't have any AC either, and he did all the work, for 14 rounds, Maxim hardly threw a punch.
Yeah, I can’t do it. The last time I watched it was to watch the first 7-8 rounds only to see Owen’s performance. Can’t go any further. I just put Owen-Ferreri on YouTube. Nice to have some film out there of Owen that’s not such a tragedy.
Walker/Schelling - the little fat middle weight with his blood splattered face walking defiantly onto Maxs thunderous right hands, Basilio/Robinson 2 - Carmen refusing to quit or take a backward step, despite his eye swelling to the size of a tennis ball. Kecthel/Papke 2 - Stan knocked down has he held his gloves out for the beginning of he first round, then fighting almost blind for 11 rounds . Galindez/Kates - Victor suffering a horrendous cut early on, unable to even see Kates for most of the fight, to then stoping Kates late in fight.
No one can tell you which fights to like the most. Having said that, Chacon-Limon 4 is objectively better than Foreman-Lyle. I've avoided watching Griffith-Paret 3 to be honest so can't comment on that. Moore-Durelle 1 is damn near its equal, though, I'd say. For the record, I have Chacon-Limon 4 at no. 2 in my all-time favourites and Moore-Durelle 1 at no. 5. You need to watch it, that's for certain!
Just ignore this fool. He has it in for Dempsey & I and never misses a chance to play the fool. As his name signifies he is a loud & proud all letter member and is threatened by anyone with a masculine trait.
Yeah, that was a nasty beating. Willard hung in the best he could but took some hellacious damage in that short but violent fight.
Fifteen rounds with me Chacon and Limon really didn't stand a chance... Carried them the last few rounds honestly
"Just ignore this fool. He has it in for Dempsey & I and never misses a chance to play the fool. As his name signifies he is a loud & proud all letter member and is threatened by anyone with a masculine trait." Was that intended for me? I mean, I don't mind if anyone prefers Chacon-Limon IV to my Foreman-Lyle, etc., but they're my favorites, and that's no more a crime than Crowcroft preferring Chacon-Limon IV.
Jel, you really should see the Griffith-Paret trilogry, they were all three tactless slugfests, one of my favorite trilogies, I would rank it with Ali-Frazier.
My favourite Paret fight. I'm told I overrate it massively, but I don't care coz it's absolutely brilliant. This content is protected
Oh and tbh, I think @Jel is worn out with Griffith. He was hardly pleased with the Rodriguez quadrilogy!
Bowe vs Golota II - the amount of beating Bowe took in that fight was beyond tremendous. He got hit with tons of hard punches and combinations to the head and body, he got headbutted badly and he got hit with like 10 or 12 really hard low blows. He never quit and he just outgutted Golota that night
