oh please ... Joe is on another planet skill wise to Hatton.

Joe is the floyd in his division, and Hatton the lacy.

i dont know why people thought heart and aggression would be enough to beat a skilled boxer. it rarely is, and it normally plays straight into a skilled boxer hands. Thats why you would always take a boxer over a brawler.

Hatton had his defining fight against Zoo. He caught him at exactly the right time and place and the right circumstances. I dont know why people want a fight witht Oscar...who would do something similar to Hatton as Floyd done but probably earlier as he has more power. He should fight Witter, Malignaggi or Rees (in that order). All winable fights (Witter could win as well)

You certainly laugh a lot Johnboy!
Yup, I gained respect for Hatton. However, some of Hattons nuthuggers deserve everything they get from the posters that they have goaded for years. Guys like Sucka, Scurla & yours truly have had to put up with a lot of **** from them through the years for daring to speak our minds on all things Ricky & hatton.
Hopefully Hattons huggers can take a leaf from Rickys book & accept defeat gracefully.
I give Hatton credit, but Im still hurting at some of the grief I have taken over the years from his legions of fans. Im like an elephant, I got a long memory.

this is now put to bed.true boxing fans will see that and realise what most of us probably already new, that floyd was much better than ricky and move on.even the most fervent hatton hugger should know that.now i'd just love to see floyd versus cotto. for all his brilliance mayweathers legacy will not be complete unless he beats a couple of topline natural welterweights.please let them get this fight on.

I was gutted Ricky lost (especially after staying up 'til almost 6 to hear it all!) but...if you're going to lose to anyone, a boxer with the talent of Mayweather is no shame.

I do disagree with Lewis too, although I take his point that it's not just the loss, it's the punishment Ricky has taken along with his victories. And there were already retirement rumours.

But I think Ricky can carry on for another year, two at the most, so long as it's at light-welter.
