If you haven't seen this fight yet I urge you to watch this one. Unbelievable first round and nonstop action throughout. Another example of a why the Flyweight era from the 70s was the best from that division. This content is protected
Some other fantastic fights with Guty Espadas and I must say these are some of the best fights from the Flyweight division I've seen. Espadas is very entertaining to watch. Always wondered why he never had a shot with Miguel Canto. That would have been a superb all-Mexican match. This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected
Espadas vs Canto probably happens if Guty had got the decision in the debatable fight against Betulio Gonzalez. Could be there was some mexican boxing politics going on as well, though. btw, I think Jensen was probably one of Khaosai's better wins, at least in terms of the quality of opponent. He was probably a bit long in the tooth by then and had been knocked out by Chul-Ho Kim and a journeyman just before fighting Galaxy, but Khaosai was inexperienced and navigated the potential banana peel of a tricky mover well.
Gonzalez won it narrowly. Still, Espadas would have been a much more credible opponent for Miguel Canto to face during that time rather than someone like Facomron Vibonchai, who surprisingly pushed Canto very close as far as a Split Decision type result. Wouldn't surprise me if there was some kind of boxing politics that didn't allow Espadas to face Canto. A big missed opportunity fight.
