Just watched this cracking wee fight. I'm annoyed it is not on Youtube as I wanted to discuss it and let all you guys see it but now I can only really discuss it with the guys who have seen it. Anyway, I think this fight is an amazing example of a boxer keeping a puncher at bay and off balance with the jab. Jensen was almost perfect with his jabbing at points as he snapped out and took a small step to the side and kept Espadas off balance constantly. From about the 2nd to the 6th Jensen really was superb with his jabbing. The only thing I had a gripe with was he was not using his combinations afte rthe jab. Espadas kept in it and it made a fascinating style clash almost the epitamy of the Matador vs Bull. Espadas did really well when he got in low and attacked Jensen with long left hooks and followed up with combinations. Jensen when stung from a punch instead of getting on his bike and jabbing looked to get inside and hold but this allowed Espadas to get his combinations off. Such an interesting, fascinating and action packed fight.
Yeah, a great little fight.Classic '70s Flyweight action. Espadas was just a novice here.tough learning fight for him....i seem to remember he was dropped heavily early on as well. i'd like to see Jensen's fight with Orono, wonder who got the better of that one.
Was a great fight the first round was superb. The knockdown was weird as Jensen was real shaky and landed a monstorous left uppercut and Espadas went down heavy but sprung back up. Is there any other Jensen fights out there he looked a good wee boxer. Also how did you score the fight I thought Jensen took it by 3
Jensen's right hand was broken during the fight so he had to rely solely on his left and could not throw any good combinations. He should have won the fight, great man and great boxer. I borrowed a DVD of his fights, I will try to post to YouTube.
How old are you, mate? I know you're only young but you're a great poster. You've got some proper boxing knowledge on you.
