Guys i need your serious opinion

You were pretty much a believer in the "A loss doesn't hurt a prospect" train when it came to Dirrell, Danny Jacobs and Victor Ortiz to name a few.

Not that it's a wrong belief either way...just that it seems like you've switched stance on this.

 

I never had any interest in Ortiz. Dirrell and Jacobs have 16-18 fights. Josh has 7. There's a big difference in telling a guy with 15 or more fights to sink or swim, and telling a guy with 7 fights to do that.

In the case of Jacobs I'd like to see him step up a bit because I think there are some name fighters he could beat. He just fought Ishe Smith who is a hard night for a lot of guys. In my opinion Jabobs is ready for an Ornales/McKart level fight. Josh has 7 fights! Big difference.

A few years ago I took a P.E. class called Speed and Agaility. Whenever we finished with an excirise our teacher would say 'Congradulations your reward for secuess is a more difficult task" From the video you posted of Josh's last fight and the video of this prospecitive opoenet. He is defently a more diffcult task. The question is how much more diffcult of a task do you wan't him to have at this point in his career? There is no reason to rush your guy into a no win siutation either. It is a tough choice. If you think Josh can beat this guy and are only woried about a hometown decision than I would lean tward taking the fight. A loss is bad they always are. However at this stage in his career it would not be the end of the world.

 

Josh has only fought 4 rounders? And this guy knocked a guy out in the 7th round of an 8 round bout in his last fight.

Also how come Josh has had such a long lay off?
