double southpaw jab, left uppercut, right hook, bob and weave, and then the straight left. Like Hatton used to say, "He does it all the time." Yes, he does, and he does it very good. For orthodoxes it's basically a double jab, right uppercut, left hook, but what Manny does next is such a smart move because he's moving away from an orthodox fighters power which is the right hand and that can apply to orthodox fighters too. He does everything in one motion, making his punches faster, and by weaving and getting out the way he's using angles so his opponents won't see the punches coming and at the sametime avoiding standing in front of them. Very good offensive and defensive move if you ask me.
Yes I am. My boyfriend and I had more than a handful bazooka "live" matches together. He has footwork like Joshua but opens up more whenever his fanboys shout "Bazooka" in the bleachers. Plus he is a slimboxer who gets tempted to duke it out when he receives a reputable punch. KO in 2. :good
you forgot the fact that bazooka has/had an iron chin and faced monsterous punchers in their primes, and nobody was able to ko him.......please, just stop with the ****en nonsense
i'll take a prime oscars hook, titos hook, and vargas' straight right over pacs punches anyday of the week and twice on sunday........ you mentioned earlier that bazooka opens up more than clottey, but are very similar...this is true, but it's also true that the little joshua did open up had pacman all ****en briused up....quartey would've been hell for manny....not saying manny would've lost, but ko'ing bazooka in two is pretty damn impossible....especially at welter
Some points that hold water. Fine. But Oscar's hook cannot be compared to Tito's hook. It may land but won't have the vaunted power of Tito's. Notice the way he hit Vargas and Mayorga after getting peppered, he swung and yes it was an effective punch to finish the fight. But if you do boxing and further analyze, his left arm wobbled when it landed right into the temples of both fighters. Tito does not, as he has the perfect leverage when he throws the left hook. Almost as perfect leverage as a Manny Pacquiao delivered left-straight lunge. It's more of the bio-mechanics of the individual fighters. Now for Vargas, he roughed up Oscar pretty much in the early rounds, but he punches with strength, more like a push punch. I wouldn't be surprised if he had a 300lbs benchpress, but strength is not power. Tito has torque in his punches and Manny has the ultimate torque efficient in every angle. Now Freddie, going back to Bazooka aside from being flat-footed, his natural punches are crab-like, like a Tyson or Cesar Sotto (not Humberto). The Manny of two years ago will get to him, and get him quick. :good
Cornerman: Keep it tight, take the round off, conserve your energy. Your boyfriend: But, but, but............the fans.......................they shout "Bazooka!"
