The whole affair is extremely shady, from all perspectives. Povetkin will box on. The organisations will let him box on because he has money behind him. He may or may not have cheated. If he was caught, on either occasion, at some time other than the time he was caught it would be a whole lot less dubious. However, the fact remains he was caught, on both occasions, right before a significant fight was due to occur when his testing up til those points had been clear, which would suggest some foul play. The malevolent group intercedes right when it matters - moments before the fight, giving an easy out for the opponent (Wilder, Stiverne). Or it's just some really shitty timing on Povetkin's part - he hogged those PEDs right before the fight. Twice. Knowing he was due to be tested. Testing positive for two substances that are barely worth masking.

Does anyone really think an athlete like Povetkin, with all the money and personnel he has behind him, would test positive for an illicit substance one week before the fight? When this is not possibly a substance he can hide -= it's been outlawed for years. Imagine this in the Povetkin camp ....
