Gatti vs. Joey Gamache, NYC. Gatti puts on 21 lbs in 24 hrs, and looks two weight classes bigger than Joey. Gatti put him out, ended his career.

If I'm not mistaken, there was an investigation into the circumstances surrounding this weigh in as well.

Pretty sure Mosley put on damned near 20lbs back when he was fighting at 135.

Hopkins weighed 156 at the weigh-in vs. DLH and reportedly rehydrated back to 177 for the fight.

Vargas used to put on tons of weight after the weigh-in.

Gatti's team claimed DLH entered the ring vs Gatti at 170 (though I'm not sure how true that claim is).

Chavez Jr. is a huge MW. You could just tell he is noticeably bigger than his opponents and that plays a factor.

If anyone caught the Rios show before HBO Boxing last night, it really shows you how having to drain down can affect you. He looked like a walking skeleton. He's definitely done at 135.

coming in big no doubt an advantage to the fighter. ibf doesnt allow u to weigh more than 10 pounds over the weight limit. boxing allows cheating with their loop holes

They dont have to eat anything, they just dehydrate themselves to near death to make the weight, then rehydrate back via lots of liquids. It's a painful process and can be dangerous to the fighter's health in the long term

20 lbs? I know Ortiz went up to 164 for the Mayweather fight. I heard Castillo went up an ungodly amount in the second Corrales fight after failing to make weight. Wouldn't be surprised if Jones went up a **** load after the First Tarver fight.

Tarver used to put on a lot of weight when he was light heavy. I don't know exactly how many pounds though, could have been close to 20 in some cases. I know he used to walk around at 220 when he was a light heavy.
