    1.Marciano for beating Louis.

    2. Holmes for beating Ali.

    3. Tyson for beating Holmes.

    4. Lewis for beating Tyson.

    5. De La Hoya for beating Chavez.

    6. Pacquiao for beating De La Hoya.

    7. Kovalev for beating Hopkins.

    8. Khan vs Barrera.

Look at this list and tell me that when these fights happened the man on the losing end was younger than the guy doing the winning? You can't because it was the older guy losing.

Mayweather vs Pacquiao was the older guy beating the younger man, not impressively, but he got a Unanimous decision win over a man that was predicted to destroy him. Excellent game of emotion chess played on the public.

They are far from mutually exclusive though.

Calzaghe beating Jones, not that he wouldn't have whipped him anyway.

Sure, Wlad is 39 years old. He didn't take a beating though but something was off. The best man won.

"Predicted to destroy him", come on, you're not being honest here. Majority of the people, including Pac fans themselves had Mayweather winning the fight.

Nobody gives Pacquiao credit for beating DLH. When people talk about Pacquiao's best wins they never bring DLH up. They talk about his demolition jobs of Cotto and Barrera.

fair list, the weird thing is Hopkins I think was the oldest on that list at the time and he was probably performing at the highest level compared to the other dudes :think

all things considered he fought a great fight against a top notch young dude :bbb

Mayweather Pacquiao should have happened in 2009. It didn't happen. The victory is forever tainted because of that.

Fight needed to happen in 09.

    Yep,

    Tyson and Lewis same age
Jones and Calzaghe not much different maybe 2-3yrs

In 5 or so years Canelo is going to be old in ring years but not age wise and i'm sure some newbie on the scene will destroy him who won't be that much younger
