Nigel Benn, glass chin, granite Jaw
I'd get a lot of shitt for this. But I'd put Khan in there too. He hasn't been knocked out clean, and he kept getting up from Danny Garcia's shots. Got TKO'd twice to a big puncher while Manny got KTFO by a welterweight Marquez.

Then again styles make fights. Khan and Pac lean forward and come forward. A counter punchers dream

    Obviously trolling on Khan

I would also throw in Judah there. Althuogh he has little heart and his career highlights include his KO to Tzuyu, he has gone up against some hard punchers and stood the course.

    Vargas
    Buchanan
Robert Garcia- stood toe to toe and popped with Corrales for 7 rounds.
Taylor had an amazing ****ing chin. To the point I think he will suffer for it later in life.
    Kirkland
    Paris
Relative to how hydrated he was when he fought and how much weight he had to cut for training-Hatton was Godly. Dude would walk around 240 and cut it within 6 weeks every single time. No surprise he went down to Schenko with a body shot.

Um, no. This is greedy reductionism.

Good call on Ruddock. Even getting up from that Morrison left hook was legendary.

I know it's a little bit simple but there is no case which comes to my mind that doesn't fit one of these 2 descriptions

Guys with great defense and durability do get caught off-balance every now and then. Flash knockdowns exist in boxing.

Exactly, RJJ knocking down James Toney is a prime example of a flash knockdown. RJJ was taunting, Toney tried to do it back, and was caught off balance and knocked down. He wasn't in the slightest bit hurt either, and I'm pretty sure he doesn't have a lack of skill or defense, or a weak jaw

Martinez is usualy all due to balance

Calzaghe starts off too fast and will sometimes get caught before properly assessing the opponent

Marquez, dont see him getting knocked down much anymore, but before it was mainly actual chin, lotta heart though
Gamboa gets too carried away trying to deal big damage and get that stoppage, you can usually land in succession against him if he feels your hurt

Quality post, and you're totally right about Calzaghe.

Props for thinking of Joe Louis.

Calzaghe got knocked down 4 times, gtfo with "a lot."

Bobby Chacon comes to mind. Getting knocked down was just one of those things to him it seems. Happens when you go all in on someone lol.
