just because Page is not what people here consider him.

Why does Pacquiao-Marquez make you think of that? They were two extremely close fights. That doesn't make me think of a guy that has another guy's number at all, quite the opposite in fact. Tarver-Jones is a silly, silly choice as well, because the Jones of 2004 onwards was so obviously not the same Jones as 2003 and before.

The best examples I can think of off the top of my head are Junior Jones and Marco Antonio Barrera, Ricardo Mayorga and Vernon Forrest, and Vernon Forrest and Shane Mosley.

Jesse Ferguson definitely had Ray Mercer's number. Two difficult fights.

and in those fights the greater guy was getting a little older, but still the styles worked out well for them.

I will add George Chaplin to Wills as a nemesis of Greg's, as I believe Chaplin clearly won both his matches with Page. No disputing who won Wills-Page I & II though.

Can't go along with Fritzie Zivic-Armstrong, as Hank did win the third match in their rivalry.

Never understand how Mario Maldonado defeated Buster Drayton twice. No, Buster was hardly a "great," but he was leagues better than Mario, whose biggest claim to fame is dropping Tony Ayala in what was much more than a flash KD.

I'd like to make the point that if one fighter has the number of another seemingly greater fighter, it's not always the case that the fighter with the others' number is automatically just lucky because of styles and deserves no credit or consideration in ranking for the win. In some cases, fighters have great careers and have the skills and style to trouble a contemporary great, and in others, lesser fighters cause greater one's trouble; but they're not the same thing all the time.

:rofl at people saying Mayorga had Forrests.

Yeah he knocked him out once. but in the rematch forrest won that in my opinion and forrest would've been the first to say that

Turpin had Robinson's number, but it still wasn't enough for him to win the second time against the GOAT

Thomas Hearns-Roberto Duran. They only fought once but I think it'd have ended up like that every time.

how can you say that. Robinson clearly knocked him out mid rounds in theres second fight (while schooling him) and only lost the first fight cos he got complacent
