Hearns had a lot of guys numbers. Cuevas,Hill,Duran,Benitez,Shuler.

 

vernon forrest and wink wright had sugars number.

 

Page, after 1985, despite brief moments, was never the same fighter he was in his youth.

I don't agree with ones like Jones/Barrera and Forrest/Mosley personally.

They were just fighters of very high ability, and when fighters with flaws like Mosley and Barrera fight guys who are high ability, they can lose, it happens. Junior Jones was a very good fighter, he just didn't have a good chin. He could still box well, could be agressive, was powerful, and that was enough to beat Barrera. The 'number' thing implies that one fighter was of a lower ability, and I don't think that is the case in the 2 fights I mentioned.

Gilberto Keb Baas/Omar Nino Romero is a better example for me. A clearly lower ability fighter beating the evidently better fighter twice.

 

I imagine Paulie Malignaggi has alot of guys numbers.
