How old are you? I'm thinking fifteen. Adamek also dropped Dawson on his ass with a slowass right straight. Kessler is a fat better fighter than Adamek.

I will tell you something right now man. Kessler has skills and heart. He would destroy Johnson and if you think Johnson beats Kessler you are clearly nuts. Same with Taylor, except Kessler knocks him out. Bhop might be able to beat him.

Besides a prime Hopkins, name me one fighter that has destroyed Johnson? And you say that Hopkins MIGHT be able to beat Hopkins. Ok, let's see this fight get made.

Well, I for my part would bet my money on Kessler to beat old geezers like Glen Johnson and Hopkins. Dawson would be a tougher fight for Kessler.
Styles make fights, mate! Tsypko is underrated and difficult to fight.
He schooled Adamu who two weeks later travelled to England to fight Froch. As you may know the African almost upset the Brit on his home turf.
By the way I had Tsypko ahead on points after 12 rounds with Lacy.Anyway! Thats not the point! The point is that I tend to think that Kessler will eventually lose against a fighter whom he has underestimated and taken lightly.
Inkin, too, has the style to beat Kessler.Whats more the better the opposition the better is Inkin!
Kessler is a good fighter, but he is a human being. He is not an invincible undisputed super champ at supermiddle. There are quite a few fighters out there who can make the water extremely hot for him.

I dont overrated Kesssler, and neither do I overrate old geezers like Hopkins or Johnson.
As for Dawson he seems to be the real deal but I am still not sold on him.
Kessler is in his prime and has proved that he rightfully belongs among the elite fighters at supermiddle/light heavy.
Nevertheless, there are fighters out there who dont have a very recognisable name who can beat him on a good day.

Styles make fights man. Johnson is a stationary target like andrada. Kessler punchs hard fast and in combinations. Johnson has what 12 loses on his record? His claim to fame is knocking out Roy Jones right after Tarver knocked Roy the **** out. Tarver beat him twice. The judges ****ed up the scoring in the first fight. I dont know Bhop can beat Kessler. I want Kessler to get more exposure. The European fighters r kicking ass and talking names.

Clearly you do overrate him as you claim he would beat all 3 of these guys in a one sided fight. Name me one guy Kessler beat that is the level of any of those 3

Kessler does have a few chinamen in his armor though. Here are some gifs from is fight against Sartison.

and he also leaves himself open for the right hook to the body. Got hit by a nasty one in the 8th against Calzaghe. I don't like how he just covers up when the fighting gets on the inside.

Good obsevation. A good counterpuncher and dedicated bodypuncher would be a problem for Kessler. Despite this, many claim he would go up to 175 walk all over Hopkins and Dawson.

Thanks for clips Pharaoh. What round was that in ?

Kessler showed a good chin after taking that looping right hand right on the jaw. Sartison does have good pop.

Kessler is not the perfect boxer just very good at 168#. He does get hit and at times lingers too long at the wrong times. I think he should increase his punch output if possible as few guys can get the better of him when he is attacking . If one were to create a checklist of ideal boxing skills , Kessler would have to rate GOOD in every single one. He is adaptable at finding weak spots in his opponent and exploiting them. His size is also an advantage at 168# . Calzaghe beat him on work rate , if they met again I think Kessler would do better .

Forget Hopkins and Dawson... from a defensive standpoint, Mikkel would have his hands full with Taylor. Taylor's workrate may be average, but his shots are very accurate, and his speed and reflexes have allowed him to develop into a good counterpuncher. I don't think Kessler has faced anyone with Taylor's exact skillset before... Calzaghe's obviously better, but presents a different set of problems.

I think Kessler would be able to exploit Taylor's defense as well. It would make for an interesting offensive matchup... I can see both these fighters being broken down if they're not careful.

Yes Taylor vs Kessler would be interesting . That fight should happen.

168# is a fan friendly competitive division so many of the top 15 guys are in their prime right now.

As an aside , Adonis Stevenson might be a name to watch , also in his prime but could be a top ten 168# in couple of years if keeps busy with decent match-ups.

Hopkins and Johnson are past their primes. Both of them have achieved a lot in the paid ranks, but they are running out of time.

Kessler is in his prime. Johnson was defeated by Ottke and Branco. Why the hell shouldnt Kessler be able to beat Johnson? I for my part think that Kessler would have beaten both Branco and Ottke quite easily.

  15. Kessler should stay away from Dawson, Johnson, and even ancient Hopkins. He'd get f*cked up based upon prior comp (lack thereof).
